At the beginning of your weekly time of journaling God’s voice, engage two minutes of silence. We have found setting a timer helps. Allow yourself to be still and receive. Dwell on a simple phrase to help your mind recenter (e.g. “Here I am”, or “Abba, I belong to you”). Let this practice remind you that He is God, and you don’t have to perform to get His approval. Be attentive to anything the Father wants to highlight for you. You can also incorporate engaging gratitude - remembering who God was for you that day and how He is showing up in your life.
