DOMESTIC STUDENTS:
If you choose to fly, please book your flight to arrive on Wednesday, March 18th. We will have two pick-up shuttle runs available from the Greensboro Airport (GSO/PTI) at 11:45am and at 1:30pm EST. If you are unable to schedule your flights around these shuttles, we suggest pursuing an Uber or taxi service in order to travel to our property from the airport. We cannot offer a shuttle or pick-up at a different time that day. If you do choose to fly to North Carolina before March 18th you may not come to our property before the scheduled check in time, as our staff will be preparing the grounds and living quarters for your school. We recommend staying in a hotel near the airport and returning to GSO to take one of our shuttles on March 18th. Whether you are driving or flying, you must arrive within the check in window between 1-3pm. We have a clear start time and it is essential that you arrive within that specific timeframe to the very best of your ability.
The 18 Inch Journey ends on May 21st. We require that all students depart by 11am. Please plan your travel arrangements accordingly. We will provide a drop-off shuttle that will depart from A Place for the Heart at 11am and will arrive at the GSO Airport at 11:45am. Please schedule your flights after 1:15pm EST on May 21st to ensure that you make your flight. You are not required to book a return flight on the day that the 18 Inch Journey ends. Oftentimes, students will stay in the area or travel elsewhere. You are welcome to wait to book a flight after you arrive, if that is easiest for you. However, you are not able to stay on our campus after 11am on May 21st.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:
For those of you traveling internationally, we welcome you to arrive to our campus on the evening of Tuesday, March 17th. We realize that traveling such a far distance and navigating the time zones can be tiring, and we want you to be rested and ready to receive on Day 1 of the school. With that said, you are not required to come a day early, however you are welcome to do so. If you choose not to arrive the night before, please plan to come during the designated check in window of 1-3pm on March 18th.
We will have one pick-up shuttle available from the Greensboro Airport (GSO/PTI) on Tuesday, March 17th at 6pm EST. This is the only shuttle time we are offering that evening, and your flight must arrive by 5:50pm if you plan to use our shuttle and arrive Tuesday night.
