This week we’re focusing on our value for the Lord’s voice.
We believe that journaling the voice of the Lord is one of the most beneficial rhythms for building and maintaining connection with God. This is something that our entire community practices regularly, and many of us learned how to do this for the first time during our 18 Inch Journey schools. We recognize that this isn’t something everyone is taught how to do, which is why we want to empower you before you come to the Journey. Whether you’ve been journaling the Lord’s voice for years or this is your first time, we want to encourage you to open up your heart and pick up faith that God is a loving Father who longs to talk with His children.
This week we’d like you to watch a lesson on journaling the voice of the Lord, taught by Jonathan Helser. This lesson comes from our latest Honesty Tool which some of you may have already completed! In the first video, Jonathan shares on journaling God’s voice and addresses common barriers we all face when we try to sit down and hear the Lord. In the second video, you’ll be given a prompt to journal the voice of the Lord.
In the middle of video 2, Jonathan will prompt you to take time and journal the voice of the Lord. This will take about 20-30 minutes, so please plan for that journaling time as you sit down to watch this video. This will be much easier if you ride the faith you’re experiencing and complete the prompt rather than trying to come back to it later! We encourage you to take up faith and engage this part of the Lord’s heart toward you.
