Request to Leave
Our desire during the 18 Inch Journey is to create a space that you can pull away from your normal responsibilities, commitments, and fast-paced rhythms of life. We recognize that to leave your normal for these two months requires a lot of intentionality, and can mean saying “no” to some things in order to say “yes” to this season. However, we also realize that there are certain events or activities that might fall within these 60 days that are a priority to attend or that you have already made a commitment to. For example, an important family event or a wedding where you’re in the bridal party.
For these instances, we ask that you submit the form below called “Request to Leave.” This gives us the opportunity to hear about the event you’d be leaving for and will allow us to look at our detailed school schedule to see what you’d be missing. Our school curriculum is cumulative in nature - meaning that there are certain teachings and events that would be more difficult to miss. As we consider your Request to Leave, our desire is to assess when your travel dates fall within our school and to have a conversation with you about what may be best and what window(s) of time you could travel to best work within the schedule.
If you do not have an event that you’re requesting to leave for, you do not need to fill out this form. If you’re asking to leave for multiple events, please submit one form per event with those details.
